Teri Lester
Teri Lester has joined the City of Marysville as its new Human Resources Manager. She comes to the city from Sno-Isle Libraries, where she held increasingly responsible positions in Human Resources since 2005, most recently as Employee Development Manager. Prior to that, Lester was Benefits Administrator for Premera Blue Cross.
“I am delighted to welcome Teri to Team Marysville,” said Gloria Hirashima, Chief Administrative Officer. “Her public and private human resources background will be very beneficial to the city as we continue to grow and develop our employee workforce.”
Lester said, “Because I am a long-time Marysville resident and have seen many changes in our community over the years, I am excited to join this dynamic organization. I look forward to working with staff and management in this role.”
Lester is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, where she served on the Snohomish County Board from 2013 to 2017. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification from Human Resource Certification Institute, and a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Certification from Society for Human Resource Management.
