Robert Hutchison, prolific Seattle architect and Affiliate Assistant Professor in the UW Department of Architecture, and as won the 2016-2017 Rome Prize; arguably the top art and design award in the U.S. Specializing in jewel-like residences, Robert’s recent work includes Courtyard House on a River—a residence that pays homage to the Northwest’s dense forests and its natural landscape along the White River in the shadow of famed Mt. Rainer.
