DOMAINTOOLS LAUNCHES CYBERSECURITY ADVISORY BOARD WITH APPOINTMENT OF F5 NETWORKS CISO
Seattle-based DomainTools announced the launch of the DomainTools Advisory Board, which will be comprised of seasoned executives with significant experience driving product and growth strategies for rapidly scaling enterprise-class cybersecurity companies. The advisory board is launching with the inaugural appointment of Mike Convertino, cybersecurity specialist and current VP and Chief Information Security Officer at F5 Networks. As DomainTools continues to scale, the advisory board will guide DomainTools as it invests in new team members, data, and systems to best serve the security market. DomainTools anticipates two additional security veterans will join the advisory board in the first half of 2016 and help guide the company as it invests in delivering its market-leading data and tools to an increasing stable of enterprise customers and network security solution providers.
“DomainTools has a unique story in the security industry and I couldn’t be more pleased that the team has asked me to guide them as they work to meet the challenges of growth and scale in the rapidly changing cybersecurity marketplace,” said Mike Convertino. “I know first hand how critical DNS-based threat enrichment data is to security analysts and incident response professionals worldwide and the new DomainTools Iris threat intelligence platform can be a force-multiplier for security teams of all sizes and experience levels.”
Prior to F5 Networks, Convertino was CISO and VP of information security at CrowdStrike, Microsoft’s senior director of network security, and a decorated retired Air Force Colonel.
