Michael M. Brown

Mac Brown has joined Lane Powell as an Associate on the Commercial Litigation and Insurance Teams in Seattle.

Brown is a skilled civil litigator with substantial experience handling cases involving insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, complex toxic torts, product liability and professional negligence defense. Notable successes include the dismissal of several multi-million dollar asbestos claims through motions for summary judgment.

As a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington, Brown represented the Department of Labor and Industries in administrative hearings for workers’ compensation cases, where he led jury trials, bench trials and defended and prepared clients for deposition. He handles all phases of litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts.

Brown received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy, cum laude, from Central Washington University.
