Lots of people in the general
aviation business have developed small personal aircraft. Very few of those
airplane-in-a-garage projects are made of composite materials appropriate for a
two-seat jet that can be used for business travel or for performing aerial
acrobatics. The ViperJet LXR, announced last year, boasts a 1,000-mile range at
more than 400 knots, a vertical climb of 5,000 feet per minute and additional
room for golf clubs.
