Aerospace and defense supplier summit coming to Seattle
By Seattle Business Magazine June 21, 2011
Manufacturers and suppliers from major global aerospace and defense industries will meet in Seattle next year to help create business opportunities and share information. The Aerospace & Defense Supplier Summit, March 12-15, 2012, will be hosted by BCI Aerospace, an event facilitator based in Boulogne, France, with major support from The Boeing Company and the Washington State Department of Commerce.
“We are very pleased to have this important international supplier summit make its debut in Washington state,” said Rogers Weed, commerce director and chair of the Governor’s Council on Aerospace. “This is an ideal opportunity to showcase the hundreds of outstanding local aerospace companies to important industry partners from around the country and the world.”
Four Boeing business units — Commercial Airplanes; Defense, Space & Security; Engineering, Operations & Technology; and Shared Services Group — will participate, along with about 600 other businesses. The event will be held at the Washington State Convention Center.
