John Gillespie

Stantec is pleased to announce that John Gillespie has joined the firm as a senior project manager in the Bellevue, WA office. With more than 31 years of experience he is responsible for managing diverse sewer, water, storm water, and facility type projects, promoting business development, providing client support services, and managing project staff.

Gillespie is known for maintaining close relationships with clients throughout many years and multiple projects. His prior experience includes the Port Angeles Downtown Water Main and Sidewalk Reconstruction which was selected by the American Public Works Association as Project of the Year. In his previous position, he successfully managed numerous concurrent projects—water study projects, water distribution design projects, airfield pavement and electrical projects, roadway repair projects, and a high caliber rifle range upgrade project.

“John’s large diameter pipeline, storm water, and value engineering experience combined with his knowledge of federal agencies supports our goals to better serve existing clients and obtain new clients,” says Greg Hill, principal and profit center leader. “His proven ability to lead business development activities with new and potential clients is an added benefit to the team.”

A registered civil engineer in Washington and Oregon, Gillespie is currently working on projects for Highline Water District, City of Issaquah, Cascade Water Alliance, and Pierce County.
