Jodi Barnard
CHI Franciscan announces the appointment of Jodi Barnard as the new Franciscan Foundation President & Vice President of Philanthropy. Jodi was selected after an extensive national search and began in her new role April 9.
Jodi will lead the Franciscan Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises funds each year in philanthropic and charitable gifts that support a wide variety of CHI Franciscan’s community initiatives and outreach programs that focus on creating healthier communities and providing quality, compassionate care to all – especially the poor and underserved.
“Jodi’s experience and depth of philanthropic leadership will be a welcome addition to our team and our family of Foundations,” said Ketul J. Patel, CEO of CHI Franciscan. “I am confident she will serve our communities well as we further our mission.”
Jodi brings more than 25 years of executive leadership in philanthropy and donor relations, having led several Foundations across the country.

Most recently, Jodi served as President of the El Camino Hospital Foundation in Mountain View, California. During her tenure, she was the lead executive of a 25-member Board and five subsequent Board committees for the multi-site hospital. In addition, she served as the chief fundraising strategist supporting priorities for clinical service lines and centers of excellence which resulted in more than $54 million of fundraising support.
Jodi’s prior experience also includes serving as Regional Executive Director of seven Providence Foundations in Oregon, Chief Development Officer of The Children’s Medical Center of Dayton, and Director of Annual Giving for the University of Dayton in Ohio.

Jodi has a bachelor’s degree in music from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.
