McKinstry has further strengthened its commitment to operational excellence by naming a 25-year McKinstry veteran, James Miller, to the newly-created position of Vice President of Operations for Construction.

In this new role, Miller is responsible for ensuring operational excellence in the planning and execution of construction projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Drawing on his expertise with continuous process improvement, technology and functional training, James will be focusing on safety, understanding and mitigating project risk and enhancing project performance/client satisfaction.

“As the industry evolves and projects become more complex, it’s more important than ever to be at the forefront of efficiency and innovation,” said Chief Operating Officer Ron Johnson. “James has a long track record of excelling with many of McKinstry’s most complex projects and he’s passionate about delivering excellence for our clients.”

Miller joined the company in 1995 and has been directly involved in new construction and retrofits across commercial and industrial buildings, as well as critical facilities. He previously served as McKinstry’s director of risk management and as director of operations for mechanical construction.
