Who’s firing: Seattle-based cruise operator Cruise West ceased operations on Saturday after a week of layoffs and canceled cruises, according to the Seattle Times. The company laid off 24 employees on Wednesday and another 41 on Friday. The closure also affects travel agencies and small-town tour companies that provided services to the company.
