Forbes list of the world’s “Billionaires” includes12 from Washington

Forbes just released its 2015 list of the world’s 1,826 billionaires. They are collectively worth $7.1 trillion. You’ve heard of most of the people from Washington who made it onto the list:
#1 is Bill Gates with $79.2 billion
#15 is Jeff Bezos with $34.8 billion
#35 is Steve Ballmer with $21.5 billion
#51 is Paul Allen with $17.5 billion
#737 is Howard Schultz with $2.5 billion
#1054 is Bruce Nordstrom with $1.8 billion
But there are also some names you might not recognize.
There is Jim Jannard, who dropped out of University of Southern California and made a fortune selling Oakley sunglasses. His more recent company, RED, manufactures movie cameras used by leading Hollyhwood filmmakers. He lives in the San Juan Islands and is worth $3.7 billion (#462)
There is Ken Fisher, the money management guru. Who knew he lived in Camas? He’s worth $2.8 billion.(#663)
Ann Gittinger of the Nordstrom family has a net worth of $1.8 billion (#1054), roughly the same as Bruce Nordstrom.
Charles Simonyi, who made his fortune at Microsoft is now worth $1.4 billion.(#1324)
And finally, there is Gabe Newell, a Harvard dropout who made his fortune by building game-maker Valve and is now worth $1.3 billion.(#1415)
