Shaker artisans have long been celebrated for the simplicity of their designs and the durability of their creations in disciplines ranging from architecture to furniture to everyday utensils. Gather up the Fragments at Bellevue Arts Museum introduces the foremost collection of the Shaker arts, compiled from the 1920s to the 1960s by Faith and Edward Deming Andrews. The exhibition of more than 200 objects is the most comprehensive collection of Shaker materials ever assembled, providing insight not only into the Shakersofficially known as the United Society of Believers in Christs Second Appearingbut also in the role the Andrewses played in advancing the field of Shaker studies.
