Connie Sue Martin

Connie Sue Martin has been named partner-in-charge of the firm’s Seattle office.  In her new role, Martin will oversee planning, policy and operations of the Seattle office.

Martin has practiced law since 1996 and brings extensive leadership and professional credentials to the partner-in-charge role. Her practice focuses on environmental and natural resource litigation, with special expertise in matters involving Indian tribes, especially resource protection and natural resource damages claims. In 2015 Martin was named Seattle’s Native American “Lawyer of the Year” by U.S. News Best Lawyers of America.

An active community leader, Martin writes and speaks frequently on environmental and Indian law issues and is a regular guest lecturer on these subjects at the University of Washington School of Law and Seattle University School of Law. She is also active in the American Bar Association, the King County Bar Association, and the Washington, Oregon and Hawaii state bars.
