JUST SAY NO!
leslie helms editors note column about Amazon in the February issue compels me to respond. Your attempt to demonstrate inequality by comparing Amazon to Costco is at best a stretch. Costco is able to satisfy your organic palate because the company is subsidizing your purchases and mine. With over 72 million members who pay between $55 and $110 for memberships, it has the resources to pay generous wages and benefits.

You dont have to feel uncomfortable when you buy from Amazon. Just quit!

PRIME REFERRAL
thanks for shining a light on Amazons infamous reputation for burning out their employees [Editors Note, February 2015]. My husband was on the job hunt last year and time and again got the Oh, you dont want to work at Amazon rebuff, even from current Amazon employees including a couple of friends who are hiring managers! Yikes!

REINVENTING CHRISTMAS
i am writing to tell you about the fabulous Christmas present I received. My brother, Ron Ibsen, called and told me to look at my husbands January edition of your magazine. The only words he added were, Dad says Merry Christmas and he loves you.

It was so much fun thumbing through the pages not knowing what to expect and seeing that wonderful picture of Dad [Don Ibsen] and his sister Norma holding up a pair of Dads first water skis in the story on Seattle inventions.
Thank you so much for honoring Dad in your magazine. He would have been absolutely thrilled. And thank you for making our Christmas extra special.
