Bart W. Reed
Stoel Rives LLP, an Am Law 200 law firm, is pleased to announce that Bart W. Reed became a new partner of the firm effective Jan. 1, 2019. He focuses his practice on construction and design issues and disputes, representing public agencies, private owners/developers, contractors, design professionals and sureties in diverse matters on both public and private projects. He has extensive experience in complex commercial and construction law, multistate litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, and regularly advises clients on their transactional and claims-related matters.
Considered a preeminent leader on construction liens in Washington, Reed is a frequent author and lecturer on the subject. Reed authored, “The Construction Lien in Washington: A Legal Analysis for the Construction Industry,” with Karl Oles, a Stoel Rives partner in the Real Estate, Development & Construction group. Reed also is recognized and distinguished as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a law degree from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.
