Alex Muir
Kinzer Partners today announced the addition of Alex Muir to the firm’s growing capital markets team. Muir will partner with Stuart Williams on investment advisory services for office product and land development sites, focusing on dispositions in the $5-100M range and strategic acquisition assignments for both private and institutional clients.
Muir joins Kinzer Partners from JLL, where he was Vice President of Capital Markets responsible for investment sales and acquisitions of institutional office assets and land development sites in the Greater Seattle area. There he was involved in transactions totaling more than $788M, while leading a production support team of analysts, associates, graphic designers and marketing professionals.
“Alex brings incredible deal-making abilities, knowledge and experience to Kinzer Partners. His background in analytics gives him an understanding of market performance and trends that few can match,” said Williams, partner and lead of Kinzer’s Capital Markets division. “He’s a leader in the office and the community, and he’s a key piece of the team we’re building here at Kinzer.”
Muir previously worked as the Vice President of Research for JLL’s Seattle and Bellevue offices, where he led a team of analysts dedicated to tracking, analyzing, and reporting on real estate and economic market indicators in the Puget Sound region.
“I’m thrilled to join the Kinzer team. The firm’s deep market expertise, entrepreneurial environment, and positive office culture are an ideal fit for me and reflect my personal and professional values,” Muir said. “I appreciate the opportunity to once again work with Stuart and learn from his 30-plus years’ experience in local capital markets business.”
Muir is a board member for the iUrban Teen nonprofit organization, a STEM+Arts education program focused on bringing career education and mentoring to underrepresented teens and young adults. He is a member of both the NAIOP Washington State Chapter and the Downtown Seattle Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington.
Williams joined Kinzer Partners in October to head up the firm’s Capital Markets group. The following additions of Jena Thornton, Adrienne Hunter, Elizabeth Schalka and Muir have rapidly expanded the team’s capabilities.
