Tech Impact Awards 2013
Seattle Business magazine honored the best of Washington state’s tech industry at the annual Tech Impact Awards, held at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel on September 26, 2013. Lifetime Achievement winner Jeremy Jaech was recognized for his accomplishments with many successful tech ventures, including Aldus, Visio and most recently SNUPI Technologies. Featured speaker Ed Lazowska, Bill and Melinda Gates Chair in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington spoke about improving Washington’s education system so the next wave of tech titans will be born and bred here.
Nominations in 12 categories were submitted by companies from across the state. A judging panel of six tech-industry experts narrowed them down to winners and silver award recipients. Honorees received their awards from representatives of presenting sponsor Wave Business Solutions and signature sponsors AAOA Healthcare and Clatter & Din.
"One of the great joys of covering business in Washington state is to see the development of new technologies, new services and new business models in every industry sector," said Leslie Helm, editor of Seattle Business.
