Former Seattle-King County EDC Exec. Suzanne Dale Estey Joins Gallatin as Partner 

 SEATTLE – Suzanne Dale Estey, a Seattle native and the former President & CEO of the Economic Development Council of Seattle & King County (EDC), has joined Gallatin Public Affairs as a Partner in the firm’s Seattle office. Suzanne bring more than 25 years of leadership experience in economic development, public policy, public affairs, strategic communications, intergovernmental relations and nonprofit leadership to Gallatin clients.

At the EDC, Suzanne fostered teamwork and partnerships to help preserve and bring to King County over 6,500 jobs at over 75 companies and over $750 million in new investment, helping drop countywide unemployment to historic lows.

Previously, Suzanne previously served as Principal of Dale Estey Partnerships, Strategy & Results; Economic Development Director for the City of Renton; Vice President of Government & Industry Relations for Washington Mutual; State & Federal Government Relations Manager for the King County Executive; State Lobbyist for the City of Seattle; Federal Legislative Analyst for the Governor of Washington; and Associate Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at The White House. Suzanne also worked as Pacific Northwest & Texas Program Director for Junior Statesmen, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, civics education program for high school students.

Suzanne serves on multiple boards, including Washington Economic Development Association, The Junior Statesmen Foundation, Community Center for Education Results, Renton Technical College Advisory Council, and she is President of the University of Washington (UW) Alumni Association board.

She previously served on the boards of the Seattle and Renton Chambers of Commerce, Aerospace Futures Alliance, Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County, Washington Technology Industry Association, EDC, regional Economic Development District, Children’s Campaign Fund and CityClub of Seattle, among many others.

A K-12 graduate of Seattle Public Schools, Suzanne received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Politics from Whitman College and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Evans School at the UW. Suzanne is an avid runner, hiker, skier and traveler. She and her husband, Mike, are the parents of two young and active boys.
