Seattle ranks 160th on 2013 Allstate Americas Best Drivers ReportTM

SEATTLE, WA., (August 27, 2013) The Allstate Insurance Company (NYSE: ALL) today released its ninth annual Allstate Americas Best Drivers Report. The report, based on Allstate claims data, ranks Americas 200 largest cities[i] in terms of car collision frequency to identify which cities have the safest drivers.
In the 2013 report, Seattle ranks as one of the least safe driving cities, landing at number 160 on the list. According to the report, the average driver in Seattle will experience an auto collision every 7.8 years, which is about 29% more likely than the national average.
We dont want drivers in Seattle to be discouraged by their ranking. Instead, we want the report to challenge drivers in Seattle to make positive changes to their driving habits that will in turn make the city a safer place to live, work and raise families, said Shauna McBride, Allstates Regional Spokesperson.
The Allstate Americas Best Drivers Report was created to facilitate an ongoing dialogue on safe driving that saves lives. This years top honor of Americas Safest Driving City is Fort Collins, Colorado, the third year the city has held the top spot in the reports nine-year history. According to the report, the average driver in Fort Collins will experience an auto collision every 13.9 years, which is 28.2 percent less likely than the national average of 10 years.
