Seattles A Great Place for That Jolt of Java
Theres no shortage of coffee shops here. Thanks, Starbucks.

Call it the Starbucks effect.
Seattle is tied with five other cities across the United States for most coffee shops per capita.
The other cities are New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego and Portland, Oregon, according to WalletHubs 2019 Best Big Cities to Live in report.
WalletHub ranked 62 cities across the country with a population of at least 300,000 people.
Overall, Seattle ranked as the third-best large city to live in, behind Virginia Beach, Virginia and Austin, Texas. Seattle scored No. 1 for the strength of its economy and education and health, but got dinged for its lack of affordability, ranking No. 50.
Seattle also tied with five other cities for highest income growth. The other cities are San Francisco, Oakland, Denver, San Jose and Austin. Seattle notably also ranked No. 1 for the highest percentage of population aged 25 and older with at least a high school diploma.
Starbucks, which was founded in 1971, operates 757 stores in Washington state, or one for every 9,756 residents, according to research from food publication Spoon University.
