The Washington Technology Industry Association named Molly Jones the vice president of government affairs for the organization.
Jones will lead the nonprofit organization in public policy activities such as legislation, regulatory issues, strategic partnerships and social responsibility programs. Jones will also be the lead policy communicator to companies that are WTIA members and the liaison between the organization and government officials.
I believe public policy is a powerful change-making platform, and I look forward to representing WTIA in critical conversations happening in our state and at the national level, said Jones.
Jones was previously the vice president for Washington, DC-based strategic advisory firm The Asia Group, where she advised startups and Fortune 500 companies on corporate strategies for market expansion, policy analysis and social responsibility.
Now, more than ever, WTIA must lead the charge on public policies that impact our member companies and the broader community, said Michael Schutzler, CEO of WTIA. (Jones) background uniquely prepares her to drive these efforts on behalf of WTIA and be a unified voice for our members.
