Cavalry Consulting Promotes COO Lori Revely to CEO

Cavalry Consulting, a leading proposal and marketing services firm, is excited to announce the promotion of Seattle-based Lori Revely from Chief Operations Officer to President and Chief Executive Officer. Founded in 2016 by Michele Atkinson, Cavalry Consulting has successfully earned more than $25B in awards for clients in the A/E/C (architecture, engineering, and construction) space for federal, public and private contracts.

Cavalry Consulting’s team members have extensive federal contracting industry experience and a tested win strategy, which has been proven on countless standalone contracts, IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) contracts, Task Orders, SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) contracts, sealed bids, and GSA Schedules. Cavalry’s driving core value is quality, which means the team works diligently to respond to each RFP to receive the best evaluation possible for the client, based on their unique capability and experience. Dissatisfied with the available opportunity management and proposal development software on the market, the Cavalry Consulting team developed a propriety, in-house software to accomplish this task—Contract Cloud.

In the first year alone, Contract Cloud increased proposal development efficiency and effectiveness by 45 percent. After a successful soft launch in November 2018 as a standalone web-based solution, Contract Cloud quickly caught national attention from the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tech sector. In December 2019, Contract Cloud was awarded a Phase 1 SBIR Contract by the Air Force AFWERX Program to conduct research and development focused on improving government procurement and, in January, the firm was inducted into the Techstars Chicago 2020 Startup Accelerator.

“I am incredibly proud of Cavalry’s growth over the past four years, and I can confidently say that it was truly earned through the team’s commitment to excellence, obsession with details, and real passion for this industry and our customers. I am confident in Lori’s leadership, and in Cavalry’s very talented team. While I will miss the opportunity to work directly with clients, I know that this transition will have a big impact for the industry, and dramatically lower the cost of responding to RFPs for tens of thousands of government contractors, not just Cavalry Consulting clients.”

While no longer serving in a leadership role, Mrs. Atkinson will continue to serve as a business and client consultant.

“I joined Cavalry a couple of years ago and it’s been such a personal and professional honor to work alongside Michele building this company,” said Ms. Revely.  “We have always made a great business duo and we’re so proud of what our whole team has accomplished for our clients. I’m thrilled to take on this new role and continue our momentum here at Cavalry and see what the future holds for Contract Cloud under Michele’s focused leadership.”
