WARDROBE STAPLES: My trademark look is a full suit. When I was growing up in the projects, I used to look up to the men who wore suits to work. I vowed that if I ever had the opportunity to hold one of those jobs, Id wear a suit every day with pride…. I dont even own jeans. My kids got me a pair for Christmas, but theyre sitting in a pile to return.

FAVORITE SHOPPING STOPS: Nordstrom, though my suits come from a wide variety of places. I like a fitted look and find that everywhere from JoS. A. Bank to JCPenney.

FASHION STYLE IN THREE WORDS: Unconventional, stylish, professional.

LEADERSHIP STYLE IN THREE WORDS: Engaging, inclusive, risk-taking.

WHAT HIS FASHION SENSE SAYS ABOUT HIS MANAGEMENT APPROACH: I think it shows I take my job seriously, and it commands respect. … I work with young black men in the community, and it is amazing to me to see how much my attire garners their respect. It acts as an example of who they, too, can be someday.

Outfit credits: Phat Farm tic-weave suit from a boutique in the Hamptons; designer dress shirt, Romario Manzini polka dot tie and matching pocket square bought in Memphis; La Milano suede loafers.
