Joshua Nelson

SMH announced the hire of Joshua Nelson as Chief Technology Officer. The newly-created position will oversee SMH’s strategic investments in technology systems to drive business development, integration initiatives and promote partnerships. He assumed the role on March 20.

One of SMH’s key investments, in electronic medical record myAvatar from Netsmart Technologies, will be a key focus for Nelson. As SMH continues to mature in its implementation of the system, Nelson’s expertise will play a key role in optimizing the system. Mr. Nelson’s technical expertise, leadership and proven track record of utilizing technology to drive organizational success were key factors to his hire and his experience will enable SMH to leverage opportunities and partnerships, while also adjusting to changes in the marketplace. He brings more than 15 years of IT experience to the job spanning various industries, including education, health care and law.
