Toward tax reform in Washington state

At the Economic Development Council of Seattle and King County’s economic forecast meeting Thursday morning, economist Chris Mefford said, “Dick Conway did us all a favor when he published a tax policy report on his own dime.” The report, Mefford says, addresses key issues about how we will pay for important social infrastructure, including education, transportation and housing.

So far, Mefford says, “Seattle has gotten by on its good looks. People want to move here.”
