I grew up at Iowa Lakeside Laboratories, a summer research center for biologists, botanists and chemists on 100 wooded acres on Lake Okoboji. My parents were the caretakers and my sister and I had free run of the property.

Stoup is an independently owned craft brewery and tap room in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle.
