TELL US WHAT YOUR COMPANY DOES AND WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO THIS BUSINESS.
I am one of the founders of a compliance management firm that tracks and files license renewals for companies of all sizes and in every jurisdiction. I was excited about this startup because of the business model, potential for national growth and the compliance expertise of my cofounder, Lisa Caughell. I was attracted to the business model and what it does for our clients, but I was also attracted to the company culture Lisa wants to build, and I am excited to be a part of a women-owned business that believes in balancing excellent customer service in an environment that truly supports women with families.
WHAT BOOK/TV SHOW/PODCAST ARE YOU READING/WATCHING/LISTENING TO AND WHY?
I am a huge fan of Master Chef, The Walking Dead, and my current favorite podcasts are HerBusiness: Insights for Women in Business, Womenpreneur: Strategies for Success with Smita Singh, Two Dope Queens and Organize 365!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE SPOT IN SEATTLE?
I love the little towns below Mount Rainier like Ashford, Elbe and the Alder Lake area. I often stay in cabins where you can hot tub in the snow, eat delicious local marionberry pie, take a hike up the Nisqually River or on Mount Rainier. There is plenty to do and the people in the towns are warm and welcoming!
WHAT KIND OF CAR DO YOU DRIVE AND WHY?
Currently, I drive a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle because I have been meaning to go car shopping but haven’t had the time with my crazy, busy schedule!
TELL US SOMETHING PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU.
I love singing Def Leppard songs at karaoke clubs.
WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I am passionate about my children, deaf culture, social justice, capoeira, boxing, good food, camping, writing and traveling.
