CHALLENGING ARCHITECTURE
i love john levesques column Boomtown Update in the December issue of Seattle magazine [published simultaneously as his Final Analysis column in Seattle Business]. Its a great article and I love the descriptions. We already were referring to the [apartment building] boxes in Ballard as architecturally challenged, but his addition of Bow-Wow-Haus is brilliant. I have come to the conclusion that these idiots are using some online make-your-own-box design. Do we really have architectural schools graduating individuals who have zero imagination? Pitiful.

FAMILY BUSINESS AWARDS
Let me take just a moment to thank everyone at Seattle Business magazine for the great honor of being selected among your Family Business Awards finalists. We were inspired by all the companies represented at the event and felt quite privileged to be featured among them. Your magazine is top quality and the awards event was a wonderful experience.

It was a great event and very much appreciated and so many family businesses over 100 years old! Its great that you have created this opportunity for these families to celebrate their history, legacy, business and family success. Families work very hard to create thriving enterprises while dealing with national and international competition and the always-present family dysfunction. Its nice to give them the opportunity to stop for a minute and celebrate their successes.
