The nine-year-old maker of casual video games raised the capital from investors John McCaw, Larry Bowman and Meritech Capital, a Silicon Valley investment firm. Dave Roberts, PopCap’s CEO, said the funds will allow his 240-person company to expand geographically. This is the first time the company has raised funds for operations. PopCap has had a string of hits, including Bejeweled.
