2019 Skyline Awards, Industrial: Georgetown Crossroads
Georgetown Crossroads takes gold in the Industrial category

Modern warehouse, distribution and logistics centers are always one story, right? Not according to Prologis, whose 590,000-square-foot Georgetown Crossroads project features not one but two stories of truck-accessible loading docks as well as a third-floor maker space suitable for light manufacturing, offices and labs.
Billed as the nation’s first multi-story warehouse building, Georgetown Crossroads (located at the convergence of multiple freight corridors) replaced a one-story, 50-year-old building. E-commerce’s increasingly rapid growth means urban warehouses are more important than ever as customers demand timely delivery and companies seek to reduce transportation costs. It was, said one judge, “an innovative and unique solution to the rising land prices in the close-in market of Seattle. It takes advantage of superior location to the Port of Seattle while offering the most current amenity package available to the discerning industrial user.”
