Special Recognition Award for Teamwork & Collaboration: Sequoyah Electric
Sequoyah Electric provides electrical contracting and network services in Washington and five other states. The firms portfolio includes health care facilities, data centers, commercial office buildings and everything in between.
Sequoyah has made a name for itself by providing innovative customer solutions on every jobsite. But where Sequoyah truly shines and where it earns special recognition this year is in the area of teamwork and collaboration. Thanks to its abundant volunteer service opportunities with organizations like Northwest Harvest and Seattle Childrens Hospital, Sequoyah goes far beyond industry standards to foster trust, communication and friendships among employees. (Employees also bond during Winterbash an annual employee appreciation event and the ever-popular charity golf tournament.)
In the workplace, Sequoyahs staffers receive industry-specific professional education and leadership development training. Employees are not only treated to monthly status updates from the company president, but theyre also frequently surveyed by management.
All of this allows Sequoyahs employees to collaborate on a higher level. As an employee said in responding to our anonymous survey: [Sequoyah has] a culture of openness and transparency. Management is accessible at all levels and shares pertinent information freely. Sequoyah Electric fosters a work environment that other electrical contractors are envious of.
