Anthony Perez
Anthony Perez AIA, LEED AP has joined architecture and design firm CallisonRTKL as a vice president in the retail practice of the Seattle office. In a career of over two decades, Perez has emerged as a creative luminary in experiential environments, known for creating places that heighten commercial performance through a blend of high-touch technology with a consumer-centric sensibility.
“There’s no doubt that a new retail equation is emerging,” says Kelly Farrell, CRTKL’s CEO. “Anthony is the type of talent that disrupts the status quo and breathes new vigor into a challenging industry. Perez has played several roles in his career but each has been characterized by creativity, energy and a passion for helping his clients—some of the world’s top retailers—foster deeper relationships with their customers, build better brands and find new ways of solving the challenges of a fluid industry.

Mr. Perez is a frequent speaker on retail design, consumer experience and brand. He and his work have been recognized by numerous awards and accolades, including being named among Fast Company magazine’s 100 Creative People in Business.
Perez has held a number of creative leading roles in his career, working for design practices such as FITCH (Columbus, OH) and Harbor Retail (Seattle, WA), as well as five years with Starbucks Coffee, where he was instrumental in the design of new store prototypes, the exploration of alternative formats and new concepts, and work with allied brands Evolution Fresh and Teavana.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. He plays an active role in his community and is one of seven members of the Mercer Island Design Commission, which is an advisory board to the Island’s City Council.
