Seattle’s Elysian Brewing is gaining a national stage for the roll out of a new beer in partnership with Rolling Stone, the nation’s iconic music-industry publication, with the premiere of the new craft beer slated for Super Bowl weekend at a major pre-game bash: Rolling Stone Live: Miami Big Game Experience.
Elysian’s new high-end suds offering, dubbed Elysian Rolling Stone Lager, will debut at the event this Saturday, Feb. 1, and will be promoted as the exclusive beer for Rolling Stone Live, which has been staged during Super Bowl weekend for nearly a decade. This year’s party will take place at SLS South Beach and Hyde Beach and will feature performances by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ciara, DJ Khaled & Friends, Paris Hilton and DJ Vice.
“The fact that Elysian has supported and been inspired by music and musicians since their beginnings makes this partnership a natural fit for Rolling Stone,” says Gus Wenner, president and chief operating officer of Rolling Stone. “We’re excited and proud to share our first venture into craft beer with our readers. We put a lot of passion into this project and we know they’re going to love it.”
The Elysian Rolling Stone Lager will be promoted throughout the Rolling Stone Live event, including at all bars, displays and bottle-service tables. Past attendees at the entertainment event, which features a cross section of sports, music and entertainment stars, have included Cardi B, Stephen Curry, Usher, Shaq, Future, Kevin Durant, CeeLo Green, Tim Tebow, Mark Cuban, Jon Hamm, Tom Hardy, Busta Rhymes, Odell Beckham Jr., and more.
“The Elysian brand [founded in 1996] was built on music and that gritty, unapologetic form of expression which is in our blood,” says Elysian Brewing co-founder Joe Bisacca. “It fuels us to keep experimenting and spread love back to those that inspired us. And what better way to do that than with our friends over at Rolling Stone?”
