Transportation 2040 is a long-range plan for the four-county (King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomish) central Puget Sound region, formulated by the Puget Sound Regional Council.

It lays out steps to improve the movement of people and goods throughout the region with an eye toward more transit, more biking and walking facilities, more ferries and mroe complete roadways.

Here’s a look at what T2040 envisions 22 years from now, compared with today as well as with the baseline, a scenario in which the plan isn’t adopted.
