Intiman Theatres 2011 Season Subscribers Receive Access to more than 15 Seattle-Area Organizations

Due to cancellation of Intimans season, local arts neighbors step-up to lend support for season ticket holders

SEATTLE — Intiman season subscribers holding tickets to the four canceled productions in 2011 will receive opportunities to exchange their remaining tickets at the area performing arts organizations listed below. In the three days following the announcement of Intimans 2011 season closure, 17 organizations rallied to present a universal offer to Intiman subscribers, ensuring that their patrons are able to enjoy a variety of performances options. Each Intiman subscriber will get a detailed message relaying the agreed upon terms for redemption, which includes day-of-performance reservations. This offer will be available through November 2011 and is subject to availability, with limitations that may pertain to individual organization needs.

This illustrates the camaraderie and collaboration that makes the Seattle arts community unique. On behalf of everyone at Intiman, I express my deepest gratitude to the arts leaders who have graciously offered to accept our patrons at their performances, says Intiman Board President Bruce Bradburn. It is a great relief to know that our loyal and deserving subscribers will be in great care while we regroup. Intiman Theatres Board of Trustees voted to close the 2011 Season on Saturday, April 14 due to financial and operational instability. Additional details are available at www.intiman.org.
