Michael Smith
Yapta, the leading provider of airfare and hotel price tracking services, today announced that Michael Smith has joined the organization as Chief Marketing Officer and will oversee the Yapta brand as the company expands into international markets to meet the growing demand from corporate travel buyers. Smith will also oversee the introduction of new Yapta products that expand the product portfolio for both business and consumer segments. Smith has over 25 years of experience in B2B enterprise technology marketing with a focus on helping organizations build marketing and sales functions to drive new product growth. He has extensive experience driving demand in direct sale, channel sale, and credit card sale business models. Previously, Smith was the Vice President of Global Marketing for Changepoint Inc. where he was responsible for all aspects of the marketing function. Prior to Changepoint, Smith spent ten years in the Unified Communications space with marketing leadership roles at Microsoft, Cisco and Avaya. He also had management consulting roles at Deloitte Consulting and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Smith holds an MBA from the Carnegie Mellon Tepper School and a BS in Information Systems also from Carnegie Mellon.
