Isaac Kato

Mighty AI has a new addition to its executive leadership team: former co-founder and CFO of Verne Global, Isaac Kato, joins Mighty AI as President, a new position for the company. Kato will oversee finances, business operations, and corporate development for the startup, which operates a data management platform for autonomous vehicle perception data.

Prior to joining Mighty AI, Kato spent 10 years in leadership at Verne Global, which developed and operates the first large scale green data center in Iceland. Kato is also a seasoned investor, having served in leadership roles at General Catalyst Partners and Summit Partners.

“It’s been a pleasure getting to know the team at Mighty AI,” says Kato. “The company has made tremendous commercial progress with its training data management platform over the past year. Mighty AI solves a critical challenge in the machine learning process, which in turn helps our customers in the quest to develop safe and effective autonomous vehicles. We face a large, rapidly growing market opportunity, and I’m excited to join the Mighty AI journey.”

Since its founding in 2014, Mighty AI has raised $27.25 million from investors, including Accenture, Foundry Group, GV, Intel Capital, Madrona Venture Group, and New Enterprise Associates. In 2017, it opened two new offices in Detroit, MI and Boston, MA, and the company now employs nearly 65 people across its three locations.

“Isaac brings with him a deep experience in growing companies and leading them to new heights,” says Mighty AI founder and CEO Daryn Nakhuda. “I’m thrilled to have him on our team as we take Mighty AI to the next level.”
