Gareth Wade joins GCI as Nationwide Director of Business Development
SEATTLE — GCI today announced that Gareth Wade, an award-winning business leader, has been hired as the nationwide director of business development and will be working out of the company’s Seattle office.
In his new role, Wade is responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships to ensure GCI is developing innovative products and services that can be tailored to meet the unique needs of channel partners and customers.
Wade has more than a decade of experience increasing revenues by designing and executing tailored sales solutions, building high performance teams, forging strategic partnerships and providing executive leadership.
Prior to joining GCI, Wade served as the founding sales and marketing director of Viju (formerly CityIS) in the UK and Europe. Gareth moved to Seattle in 2004 and has since served as chief sales officer at content26, director of channel sales at Polycom, and revenue growth consultant at OneAccord Partners.

Wade has won numerous accolades for his sales achievements, including being ranked in the Top 25 Deloitte & Touche’s “Fastest Growing UK Companies” four consecutive years and “Best Director” in national awards sponsored by Scottish Enterprise. Wade also volunteers as chairman of the British-American Business Connections and is a board director for the Seattle Saracens Rugby Club.
The Alaska-based technology company recently expanded its footprint in the Pacific Northwest, launching its new regional office in Seattle. Additionally, GCI recently hired a new director of sales and marketing, and acquired Northpoint Consulting, growing its list of high-profile clients including Weyerhaeuser, Alaska Airlines and Seattle Children’s Hospital.
