Pyramid Analytics, provider of the next-generation business analytics platform for the enterprise, today announced technology veteran Paul Farmer as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Farmer joins Pyramid Analytics from San Francisco-based company Swrve where he served as CFO.
“We are thrilled to welcome Paul to Pyramid Analytics,” said Omri Kohl, co-founder and CEO of Pyramid Analytics. “Paul has been responsible for the financial growth of many successful technology companies and, as we look towards continued innovation and growth in the business analytics industry, we are excited for the expertise Paul will bring to the company.”
With more than 30 years of experience in the technology sector, Farmer has served as CFO for multiple technology companies spanning the SAAS, enterprise software and professional services industries. Farmer brings extensive financial experience to Pyramid, having served as CFO for technology companies such as Gigya, Silver Tail Systems (purchased by EMC), Narus (purchased by Boeing) and Xoft. In his previous roles, Farmer was responsible for initiating, managing and accounting for various forms of fundraising including preferred stock, bank debt and convertible venture debt.
“I am honored to join Pyramid Analytics and look forward to supporting the vision and growth of the company,” said Farmer. “Pyramid’s offering supplies a crucial missing piece to the big data industry; by focusing on maintaining control of data and displaying it in a usable format, Pyramid is revolutionizing the business intelligence industry.”
