Global marketing chief to leave Microsoft


Microsoft senior vice president in charge of global marketing Mich Mathews plans to leave the software giant this summer. Mathews will assist the company brass in finding her replacement.

A global marketing leader, Mathews joined the company in 1989 and took the helm of marketing in 1993. She oversees an advertising budget of more than $1 billion across all Microsoft products.

After her departure, Mathews plans to take some time “off grid” before starting a new job.
