Diane Geurts
PEMCO Insurance is pleased to welcome Diane Geurts as a communication manager for the company’s marketing department. Geurts has spent 20 years working in marketing and communications roles and brings a range of diverse experience to her position on the marketing team.
As a communication manager, Geurts will support PEMCO’s employee communication efforts, and will also contribute to ongoing strategic communication initiatives. Her background includes demonstrated experience in executive and employee communication, marketing management, product marketing and other areas.
“Diane brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our marketing team, and her ideas and strategic vision will help PEMCO continue to express our brand story in an authentic way, both internally and externally,” said John Burgess, Corporate Communications Manager at PEMCO Insurance. “Diane also shares a deep appreciation for the Northwest, and I believe this passion will be a great benefit to our team.”
Prior to joining PEMCO, Geurts held marketing and communications roles at national and regional companies including Wendy’s, Tully’s Coffee and, most recently, online legal service company Avvo. As a communications manager at Avvo, Geurts helped guide the company through an acquisition in 2018 and led a broad array of communications initiatives, including internal communications, executive communications, and public relations efforts.
She has provided counsel to clients across several industries as both an independent practitioner and in roles with public relations and marketing agencies, as well.
An Ohio native, Geurts graduated from The Ohio State University with an English degree, and later moved to the Northwest to enjoy the region’s active lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys writing fiction, and has served
