Washington’s premier all-seasons mountain destination hires passionate director of food and beverage to create a superior dining experience for guests

 

CLE ELUM, Wash. – (Nov. 4, 2016) – Suncadia, A Destination Hotel, is pleased to announce the appointment of Garret Fujieda as Director of Food and Beverage. Having developed a passion for culinary arts at a young age, Fujieda has joined the Suncadia team to help drive the resort’s growth and create new dining experiences for guests.

 

“I work for my team,” says Fujieda of his new role. “My focus is to make sure my team is able to do great things and be there to support them as we continue to evolve and develop new experiences. I look forward to diving in and connecting with the team every day.”

 

Hailing from Maui, Hawaii, Fujieda brings his long-time love and enthusiasm for culinary arts to the existing offerings of the Suncadia team and Executive Chef Clay Blake. With experience in New York, Florida and Texas, Fujieda is excited about the endless possibilities in the food and beverage industry. Fujieda has instilled the passion and joy of cooking and experimenting with new foods in his children by teaching them to work with food and form their own culinary creations.

 

As director of food and beverage at Suncadia, Fujieda is working to preserve the sense of place while continuing to push the creative envelope on all the resort’s culinary endeavors. As Suncadia undergoes major changes to its food and beverage menus and offerings, Fujieda brings his expertise and explorative palate to the team at the perfect time.

 

“Even after moving here from Maui, I still pinch myself every time I drive onto the property,” said Fujieda. “This place is absolutely gorgeous and we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s possible at Suncadia. We have a great creative team of professionals and I look forward to seeing what we can do together to benefit the local community, our resort guests and Suncadia home owners.”
