Jim Larson

The Heathman Hotel Kirkland is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Larson as general manager. In this role, Larson will oversee and manage the daily operations of the downtown Kirkland property, which recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of its guestrooms and created a refreshed food and beverage experience at its Trellis Restaurant.

Larson brings more than 25 years of hotel experience to The Heathman, with a majority of his time in management roles. Most recently, he served as the general manager for Residence Inn Marriott in Bellevue, Wash., and before that, the Hilton Suites in Orange, Calif. He moved to the Northwest in 2011.

“Jim is a seasoned leader and manager in the hospitality industry, bringing fresh ideas, energy and enthusiasm to The Heathman,” said John Oppenheimer, founder and CEO of Columbia Hospitality. “I have no doubt Jim will ensure that exceptional guest experiences and service are offered from all areas of the hotel’s operations.”

The Heathman Hotel completed a substantial renovation in December 2017, having remodeled its 91 guestrooms and suites. The update provided a fresh, modern aesthetic along with furnishings designed to reflect the hotel’s Pacific Northwest surroundings. The property boasts 4,555 square feet of meeting and event spaces that accommodate up to 200 guests and is home to the locally inspired Trellis Restaurant.

“The Heathman is an outstanding property in the heart of the downtown Kirkland, with so much to offer guests traveling from near and far,” said Larson. “I am excited to join this vibrant community and lead our hardworking team to elevate the existing hotel and restaurant offerings, while keeping the unmatched service that defines us.”

Larson received a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from California Baptist College. He currently lives in Redmond, Wash., with his wife and three daughters. When he’s not working, Larson is very active in his church community and enjoys playing basketball and baseball.
