Nature’s Path (Blaine)

Runner-up: Manufacturing Innovation of the Year (Large Companies)
|   June 2010   |  FROM THE PRINT EDITION

At its Blaine manufacturing plant, Richmond, B.C.-based Nature’s Path makes organic cereal. But it defines being a green company beyond using organic food ingredients. Working with Impact Washington and the Department of Ecology on a “lean and green” program, Nature’s Path has been reducing waste as well as energy and water use in the plant, changes that will save tens of thousands of dollars a year.
